The hydrogen compression that occurs in a metal hydride compressor is based on the chemical and thermal processes of absorption desorption into an intermetallic structure metals. concept presented this article centred use optimal alloy capable absorbing its at low temperature pressure. After such heated up, pressure will significantly increase, facilitates without it being direct contact with movable parts compressor. As result, safety process increased. contains pair tandem (MH) tanks integrated heat exchanger. are alternately cooled, so while absorbed one concurrently desorbed other tank. unique nature prototype single-stage consists using pump facilitated significant reduction consumed electric energy transport between tandem-arranged tanks. purpose investigation was to examine possibility integrating as source cold for absorption- desorption-based compression.
